Wanting to know more about how to support students in Greater Victoria with resources for inquiry, genius hour and passion projects? Register for part 2 HERE of “Don’t Just Google It: Libraries, Museums & Archives – Connect and Collaborate!’
Museum Educator, Chris O’Connor and Archivist Genevieve Weber will host on Wednesday, February 8th from 4-5:30 at the RBCM
Family history, politics, architecture, sports, music, explorers, Aboriginal communities, ghosts, photography – whatever the interest, there is something in our collections for everyone! Come to the BC Archives and discover the resources we have for you and your learners. The first half of the session will focus on using our online database to search the collections and discover the kinds of information that you access at home or in the classroom, including digital records such as colonial correspondence, photographs, and maps. The second half of the session will be an introduction to the reference room, including a display of original records from the collections and a tour of the facility. The BC Archives is a public institution, and we encourage everyone to actively engage the space for their learning.
